Marton Koppany, "Happy New Year" (2005)
Last year, Dan Waber put together a project where people translated lines in well known Christmas songs. The most interesting was this one by Marton Koppany, where he translated "Happy New Year" into "a 'concrete' dialect of English."
My contribution to this project was "Pack the Corridors with Limbs of Ilex," which Irving Weiss translated as "Rove the Bush with Chenes of Rummy" and endwar translated as "Dark the Holes in Bowls of Holy."
