Jassy Lupa, Self-Portrait (10 Sep 2005)
Through 2005, Jassy Lupa kept sending me her beautiful paintings, many self-portraits. What makes Jassy so different from most mailartists is that she includes real correspondence, not just scraps of notes, as part of her mailings. In this one, she comments on one of the postcards I'd send out from New Orleans last year (I left there nine days before Hurricane Katrina hit). She quotes me: "New Orleans had been finger- and head-throbbing hot."
